This Privacy Policy describes how Poker Sesh ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects the personal information you provide when you use the Poker Sesh mobile app and website (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly and information generated when you use the Service:

• Account information – full name and email address when you register with email; or your name and email obtained from Apple when you sign in with Apple; or your name and email obtained from Google when you sign in with Google (web only).
• Profile picture – an optional photo you upload to personalise your profile. Images are stored and served by Cloudinary.
• Game & session data – buy-ins, cash-outs, profit/loss, session dates and durations, home game names, tournament details, and any notes you enter.
• Achievement data – milestones and awards earned based on your in-game activity, including any achievements manually granted by a host.
• Device push-notification token – collected when you grant permission, used only to send you game and tournament alerts. You can revoke permission at any time in your device Settings.
• Usage data – standard server logs (IP address, browser/device type, pages visited, timestamps) collected automatically for security and diagnostics.

We do not collect or store payment card numbers or full financial account information. Subscription payments are handled entirely by Stripe (see Section 3).

2. How We Use Your Information

• Create and manage your account and authenticate you securely.
• Display your stats, leaderboards, achievements, and session history within your home games.
• Process and manage your Host Plan subscription.
• Send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, subscription receipts).
• Send push notifications about game and tournament activity when you have granted permission.
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse.
• Improve and debug the Service.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party processors. Each operates under its own privacy policy:

• Apple Sign-In – optional "Sign in with Apple" authentication on iOS and iPadOS. Apple Privacy Policy
• Google Identity Services – optional "Sign in with Google" authentication on the web version of the Service. Google Privacy Policy
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) – push notification delivery. Firebase Privacy
• Cloudinary – profile picture storage and delivery. Cloudinary Privacy Policy
• Stripe – subscription billing and payment processing for the Host Plan. Poker Sesh does not receive or store your card details; they are handled directly by Stripe. Stripe Privacy Policy
• Email delivery (SMTP) – transactional emails such as verification links and password resets are delivered via a third-party SMTP provider.
• Railway – backend hosting and PostgreSQL database. Railway Privacy Policy

4. Data Sharing

Your name and game statistics are visible to other members of the same home game. They are not shared publicly or with members of other home games. We do not share your personal information with unaffiliated third parties except as required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and game data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account (via Settings → Danger Zone, or by emailing us), your personal information and associated game data are removed within 30 days. Anonymised aggregate statistics may be retained indefinitely.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location you may have the right to:

• Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data (you can update your name directly in Settings).
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Withdraw consent to push notifications at any time in your device Settings.
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.

7. Cookies and Local Storage

Poker Sesh stores your authentication token and user preferences (such as theme selection) in your browser's localStorage to keep you logged in across sessions. In the iOS and Android apps, preferences are additionally stored using the device's secure Preferences storage. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us at pokersesh@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption in transit, bcrypt-hashed passwords, and JWT-based authentication to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
